Those fires caused whole herds of cattle to lose their lives and devastated farmers. Twenty-three years ago, the Farm Store looked nothing like it does now. Thanks to Roger and Vicky Soverns, the store is now a valuable part of the Veneta community. Providing items like dog and cat food, livestock feed, gardening supplies, milk replacer, horse supplements, bird seed, wood stove pellets and much more; the community does not need to drive all the way out to Eugene to get something they may need. Here at the Farm Store, we have two store cats. One of them has been with us for quite a while, and that's Ninja. (He's the large grey cat that people often mistake for a statue when he sits on the Capital Press newspapers.) Compared to the other digestive systems I've talked about, the monogastric is pretty simple. Hogs, humans, cats and dogs do all of their digestion this way.
